Dr. Abubaker is a distinguished Board-Certified Rheumatologist with extensive training and experience. He completed his Rheumatology Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine and his Internal Medicine residency at Yale University\u2019s Bridgeport Program in Connecticut. Board-certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Abubaker has served the community through Marietta Rheumatology Associates since joining the practice in 2001.<\/p>\n

With expertise in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal diseases, Dr. Abubaker specializes in conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Sjogren\u2019s Syndrome, Scleroderma, Gout, Inflammatory Muscle Diseases, Fibromyalgia, Sarcoidosis, and other rare rheumatologic disorders. He is particularly passionate about managing degenerative arthritis, including Osteoarthritis of the hands, knees, neck, and back.<\/p>\n

Dr. Abubaker leads research initiatives at Marietta Rheumatology Associates, contributing to numerous clinical drug trials and publishing in national rheumatology journals. He has presented research at the American College of Rheumatology’s national meeting and is an active member of the American Medical Association, Medical Association of Georgia, and Georgia Rheumatology Society.<\/p>\n

Beyond his clinical and research pursuits, Dr. Abubaker is deeply committed to philanthropy. He serves on the boards of multiple non-profit organizations, including the U.S. Fund for UNICEF Southeast USA, where he has participated in field missions to Uganda and Nepal. As chair of the Saad Abubaker Foundation (SAF), he advocates for children with severe disabilities and their families. He is also a founding board member of the Clarkston Community Health Center, dedicated to providing care for underserved and uninsured patients in Georgia.<\/p>\n

Dr. Abubaker has been honored with several accolades, including the *Most Patriot Employer Award* by the U.S. Navy in 2004 and the *Honorary Georgia Citizen Award* by the Secretary of State of Georgia. He was also nominated for the *Bridgeport Humanness Award* in 1997-1998.<\/p>\n

In his free time, Dr. Abubaker enjoys traveling, reading, and continuing his lifelong dedication to improving the lives of others through medicine and charitable work.<\/p>\n
